Description

A boy stolen from his family.

His father murdered before his eyes.

Now a young man, he kills without remorse, his actions fueled by rage.

Night of the Assassin is the gritty, edge-of-your seat prequel to King of Swords, and charts the early years of El Rey - the King of Swords - a super-assassin responsible for some of the world's most daring executions.

Framed against the backdrop of Mexico's brutal narco-trafficking violence, Night of the Assassin chronicles the making of a monster - a cold-blooded, ruthless killing machine.

If you love Reacher, Mitch Rapp, and Day of the Jackal, this raw, disturbing, and unflinching saga will leave you gasping for breath.

The prequel to the Assassin is well written. The killer is portrayed in a believable fashion. This thriller is fast-moving and filled with action and blood. Patrick Phoenix Az. and Chapala, Mx.

This well written novel contains very violent and graphic scenes throughout and is not suitable for children or teens. That being said, the author showed great understanding of the inner workings of drug cartels.

The author developed the main character and wove some plot into the story. Then he abuses the reader with an unsatisfying, abrupt ending that was almost like he got tired of writing and just wrapped things up in one page. It's a good book, not great, until the ending when just bombs. I'll probably not buy or read any further titles under this author.

Amateurish, gratuitous, and anyone that doesn't know the difference between an ex marine and a former marine shouldn't be writing novels.
